Passes 24 VDC field power to the I/O modules to the right of it. 10 to 28.8 VDC input voltage. 400 mA field side power. 6 A for 10 micro-second inrush current. 1.3 A PointBus output current. 9.8 W maximum power consumption. This unit extends the backplane bus power and creates a new field voltage partition segment for driving field devices for up to 17 I/O modules. The expansion power unit separates field power from I/O modules to the left of the unit, effectively providing functional. Logical partitioning for separating field power between input and output modules, separating field power to the analog and digital modules and grouping modules to perform a specific task or function. Power to the POINTBus backplane and I/O modules is brought in through the auxiliary power connector. It can connect up to 12 I/O modules and an adapter with a maximum of 10 A field power, using the auxiliary power. Connect additional expansion power units to expand the I/O assembly up to the maximum of 63 I/O modules.
