Tube guards slip over lamps and retain shattered glass and phosphors providing an efficient and economical solution in problem areas. Made from extruded polycarbonate, tube guards have a high tensile and impact strength over a wide range of temperatures. Tube guards are secured by means of two universal end caps made of black high heat polypropalene. Heat sink screen also available for HO and VHO lamps (not available for T5HO). Can be cut to size upon request (subject to minimum order quantities). Provide protection against dirt, thus reducing cleaning cycles and lamp replacement due to breakage. Available in a variety of colours, lengths, and diameters to fit all conventional fluorescent lamps. Clear UV filtering tube guards have 0 % transmittance below 395 nanometers (nm). Yellow UV filtering tube guards have 0 % transmittance below 480 nanometers.
